Australia TripG'Day Everyone!!
Wow!! Two weeks have just flown by! I got back to Florida last night after being home in Australia for the last couple of weeks. Its amazing how quickly time can fly when you don't want it to. I love going home to Australia and as I have gotten older I haved missed it more and more. Especially now that I have 3 nieces and a nephew to spoil! I went home to meet my new niece. Of course she is beautiful! I'm not sure yet who she looks like...I think she is a combination of her Mum and Dad right now.
So I was very busy spending time with my family and having fun with the little ones. I didn't really do a whole lot else that you all would find too exciting. I did spend a couple days down at my parents beach house. We have had it for about 20 years now and it is one of my favorite places in the world to go to. When I say beach house, it really isn't what most people picture. It is located at the mouth of a large creek, with the creek on one side of us and the beach (pacific ocean) on the other side. The area is so untouched and hardly populated. There is no electricity and no running water. We catch our rain water and have generated power. So it is a very beautiful and peaceful place. We do fish down there but we weren't real serious this trip. The creek is a local favorite to catch mud crabs which we were successful enough to have a good feed for lunch one day. Other than that, I had one of my nieces down there with my Mum and Dad, so we played and swam on the beach.
I did get to do a little bit of work with my lifelong coach Kelvin Haller. We really did some good work and found a couple things that might help me get into a more comfortable set up. I am looking forward to practicing over the next couple weeks and getting it nailed down before I head to Japan.
I am going to the Dolphins/Jets Monday night football game tonight which I am really looking forward to! I have had Miami season tickets with a friend of mine for 10 seasons now. It should be a really good game with two young quarterbacks going at it. I am just hoping my jet lag doesn't kick in until after the game is over. As you can probably tell from my blog, if you have been keeping up with it, that I am a sports nut! I can watch just about anything sport but of course have my favorites. When I came over to the States nearly 14 years ago, I didn't really know much about American sports besides basketball. So I had to learn about them....ESPN's Sportscenter got me started! I have to say though that out of all of them, football is my favorite American sport to watch...either on TV or live. This will be my first Dolphins game of the season so hopefully the can get a win!
Other than football tonight, I will get back to practice this week. Also as usual when I am home in Florida I will hope to get out on my boat. It starts to get windy at this time of the year but hopefully there will be one nice day to go fishing.
Go Fins!!

And this is the beach that most times we have all to ourselves! So beautiful and untouched!
