Week OffG'Day Everyone!
Well the title says "Week Off" but I would have to say apart from not playing in a tournament it was not really a week off. After playing my last tournament outing at Wegeman's I knew that I wasn't completely happy with a few things, so I had just one day off and then got back into practice. I was at my home in Florida till Thursday, then traveled up to Bethlehem, PA, the town that is hosting the US Women's Open. I wasn't able to practice on the tournament course at Saucon Valley Country Club until today but I got some great practice done on their practice facilities and also on the other courses they have there.
The hard work feels like it has paid off. My swing is really starting to feel good and my good feels that I had with my short game in Rochester are still right in tune. So now I am just trying to map out a good game plan for the course. I think Saucon Valley is one of the best US Open courses I have ever played. The lay out is tough but really fair and the condition of the course is one of the best I have seen. Looks like it will be a good week!
Also here staying with me this week are the two winners of the "Karrie Webb Series", Julia Boland and Stacey Keating. They arrived in town yesterday, and to say they are a little excited is an understatement....but I love it!! Their excitement is really contagious and rubs off on me. Not that I'm not excited to play in the US Open, but they remind me of myself at their age.
So I think that things are shaping up nicely this week. Fingers crossed my feelings are correct!
Karrie
