Evian Masters and British OpenCiao Everyone!
I got back last night from a week long holiday in Rome, Italy. I had a great time!! Love Italy! Went and saw all the sights of Rome. It's an amazing city...so much history and beauty. There are some of the most beautiful buildings and churches I have ever seen! And a lot of them are well over a thousand years old...some nearly 2 thousand!! Its incredible to think that Australia only was settled just over 230 years ago. You should really class Australia's history as "modern history" compared to what I saw and learned last week. Besides the sights, I also ate and drank my way through Rome!! LOL! The food and wine were just incredible! As far as my waist line is concerned its a good thing I was only there for a week!
Anyway, I am now back in FL for the week before I head off to Portland, Oregon for next weeks Safeway Classic. I will get back into practice this week and see if I can find a little spark to play well on this next 2 week road trip. My two weeks at the Evian Masters and the British Open were very disappointing. I really enjoy playing in both tournaments and to not contend in either was not even close to the expectations that I went over there with. I'm not really sure where to pin point what was wrong those two weeks. My game was just average all the way round and I didn't really have any part of game shine enough that it got anything going for me. I am hoping that it was just a bad road trip and that things will back on track next week.
So apart from some practice, I am looking forward to just spending some time at home. I really haven't been home much in the past two and a half months so I will enjoy while I can.
Take care,
Karrie
