Welcome Back to the US!Hi everyone-
Well it's been a few weeks since I last touched base and since then I have definitely added some frequent flyer miles!! Boy time flies when you're traveling all over the world! It's already the middle of March....can't believe it! I'm currently sitting on a plane again...which my butt/back are really screaming loudly at me that they dislike!
Although I'm on a plane again, I'm glad to only be flying from Ft Lauderdale to Phoenix! I was able to get back to my home in Florida for a whopping 6 days but I really did enjoy being home! It went by quickly but I managed to enjoy sleeping in my own bed, catching up on things at home and I got out on my boat on Saturday which was a beautiful Florida day in March! Saturday was definitely my highlight as I sit here thinking about my week! I didn't get to fish as the seas were too big but a cruise down the intracoastal with a stop at the Tiki Bar in West Palm Beach for lunch was a much needed nice relaxing afternoon.
So I'm on the road again for two weeks but I'm glad to be heading to a familiar town that the LPGA has played in for many years and I've travelled to every year of my career. Don't get me wrong, I love playing all over the world but I'm ready to play for a few months in one country and I'm glad that the first US based event is in Phoenix! I have played well in Phoenix over the years, with 3 wins, with the last of the three being a win at inaugural RR Donnelley Founders Cup in 2011. So lots of great feelings heading out to the desert again this year!
As for the first 3 weeks of the LPGA season, to some it up overall it was a bit disappointing. After how I had jumped out of the gates with a win at the Australian Masters, I thought there should have been more of a carry over. Overall I just didn't have the same feels with my game consistently throughout the course of any of the rounds/tournaments that I thought would be there. I'm still scratching my head a little bit over it all but I know it's there....I've seen it and felt it on and off...so it's just a matter of continuing to work hard on the things that I know have worked and to just be patient. I know it's not far away.
Lets see how it goes over the course of the next couple of weeks. Hopefully there's a little desert magic left in Phoenix for me!
Karrie
