State Farm ClassicHi All!
Well last week wasn't the best week for me. I missed the cut by one....first cut I have missed this year. Of course I was very disappointed but it wasn't like I played extremely poorly. I shot 1 under for the two rounds. My downfall was my putter this week. Nothing was real sharp in my game but if the putter had of behaved better than I think the rest of game would have sharpened up.
After a great BBQ with some friends on Friday night, I decided to make the most of my free weekend and I headed over to Bethlehem,PA where the US Open is being played next month at Saucon Valley Country Club. What an awesome course it is! Its the first time in my whole career that I have played the US Open course ahead of the week of the tournament. I am so glad that I did. I got a really great feeling while playing and its a course that really suits my eye. Its going to be a really challenging course but I think if my game's peaking that week, it will be a course I feel comfortable on.
So now I am in Havre De Grace, MD getting ready for this week's major, McDonald's LPGA Championship. One of my coaches, Ian Triggs, is over for the week so we will be working hard to iron out the few wrinkles that have crept into my game. I really don't believe my game is far away, just need someone to point me in the right direction and give me a little boost in confidence.
I have played well at Bulle Rock in the past, so hopefully this is a week where I really get things going!
Karrie
