Its Been Too Long!!

Hi Everyone,

Ok....it's been so long since I last posted anything that you probably have given up on even checking to see if I've updated you all. I'm more than sorry for being so lazy!!

Seen as though it's been so long, I will give you the cliff notes on my year to date. Golf-wise I have had a fairly consistent year. The swing changes I made in off season are definitely improving but have been a little inconsistent from day to day. So my results have been consistently pretty good but I want them to get to consistently good or even great! If I an continue to be patient those results should be just around the corner.

Off the course has been good. I haven't done loads of fishing (or really I should say I've been fishing but not catching!) I'm planning an extension on my house which is exciting! I've lived there almost 14 years and love it and don't want to move, so a little make over will be fun.

My sports teams have been doing nicely. The State of Origin has been a great series with the deciding game 3 being played on Wednesday. The Queensland Mighty Maroons will have there work cut out for them but they play at home and I think should win their 7th consecutive series against the New South Wales blues. The Miami Heat had a great and exciting run to win the NBA Championship. They games kept me up late on several nights but was very happy they got it done and at least silenced some of the haters. The Miami Dolphins were in the running to get Payton Manning at one point but weren't lucky enough there. Not sure what the season will bring but hopefully it won't be too bad. And my NRL team back home, the NQ Cowboys are having a decent season and once the state of origin is over, they will hopefully make a big run to the finals!

The one sporting event I can't wait for is the Olympics!!  I'm not playing over the 2 weeks of the London games, so I can foresee many days sitting in my lounge room with the Directv telecasts streaming to my 3 tv set up.  Bring on the challenge of watching 3 events at once!!

So as I am updating you all briefly on what's been going on, I'm on a plane headed to the Kohler, Wisconsin for this years US Open. As always I'm really looking forward to the week.  I played in the Open at Black Wolf Run in '98 so I know we are in for a tough week.  Fortunately for me, besides remembering how tough a week we had 14 years ago, I don't really remember much of the course. I'm sure some of it will come back to me once I play a few practice rounds, but I'm glad that any of the scars that I might have had from '98 have long since faded. After my performance last year in Colorado Springs, I'm looking to improve on that and be in the mix again.

So that's all for now but I promise to be in touch a lot sooner the next time round.

Take care,
Karrie
